Nonnegative Boundary Control of 1D Linear Heat Equations

نویسندگان

چکیده

We consider the controllability of a one dimensional heat equation with nonnegative boundary controls. Despite in any positive time this system, unilateral nonnegativity control constraint causes minimal time. In article, it is proved that at time, there exists space Radon measures, which consists countable sum Dirac impulses.

Sparse nonnegative solution of underdetermined linear equations by linear programming.

Consider an underdetermined system of linear equations y = Ax with known y and d x n matrix A. We seek the nonnegative x with the fewest nonzeros satisfying y = Ax. In general, this problem is NP-hard. However, for many matrices A there is a threshold phenomenon: if the sparsest solution is sufficiently sparse, it can be found by linear programming. We explain this by the theory of convex polyt...

Non-linear rough heat equations

This article is devoted to define and solve an evolution equation of the form dyt = yt dt + d Xt (yt ), where stands for the Laplace operator on a space of the form L p(Rn), and X is a finite dimensional noisy nonlinearity whose typical form is given by Xt (φ) = ∑N i=1 xi t fi (φ), where each x = (x (1), . . . , x (N ) is a γ -Hölder function generating a rough path and each fi is a smooth enou...

Nonnegative Solvability of Linear Equations in Certain Ordered Rings

In the integers and in certain densely ordered rings that are not fields, projections of the solution set of finitely many homogeneous weak linear inequalities may be defined by finitely many congruence inequalities, where a congruence inequality combines a weak inequality with a system of congruences. These results extend well-known facts about systems of weak linear inequalities over ordered ...

Local controllability of 1D linear and nonlinear Schrödinger equations with bilinear control

We consider a linear Schrödinger equation, on a bounded interval, with bilinear control, that represents a quantum particle in an electric eld (the control). We prove the exact controllability of this system, in any positive time, locally around the ground state. Similar results were proved for particular models [14, 15, 17], in non optimal spaces, in long time and the proof relied on the Nash-...

Solving the Linear 1D Thermoelasticity Equations with Pure Delay

We propose a systemof partial differential equations with a single constant delay τ > 0 describing the behavior of a one-dimensional thermoelastic solid occupying a bounded interval of R. For an initial-boundary value problem associated with this system, we prove a well-posedness result in a certain topology under appropriate regularity conditions on the data. Further, we show the solution of o...
